Although our work is global, SVS has been enjoying the benefits of being based on the Isle of Wight, sailing hub and all round great place to live.
The Summer calendar began with crossing the water to Portsmouth to watch the America's Cup World Series. Although several days of the series were blighted by bad weather (come on, July!), the yachts racing on the Solent were nothing short of spectacular on the sunny Saturday. The best views of the racing were probably had by the clever folks up the Ferris Wheel (banking that tip for next time they visit).
Next was the RYS International Bicentenary Regatta, where the J Class Velsheda, Lionheart and Ranger enjoyed three successful days racing off Cowes. Not forgetting the other good looking yachts taking part in the regatta, Starla chose to pose regally by the Classic replica Eleonora for a photo or two.
We had a quick breather and are now enjoying Cowes Week. As always, Cowes has come alive and some sunny, windy days have already meant some excellent racing and lots of crowds. In between watching the boats, we have enjoyed some excellent street food at the Squid and Pig and some gin cocktails at the Sunsail tent, with plenty of time to sample the rest of the hospitality on offer. Check out our instagram for some photos of Starla getting into the spirit of things...
